High purity alpha titanium alloy GR2 (corresponding to China TA2) material, specially designed for titanium alloy welding process, suitable for tungsten inert gas welding (TIG), melting electrode argon arc welding (MIG), plasma arc welding and other processes, meeting the requirements of corrosion resistance and high-strength welding in fields such as chemical engineering, marine engineering, medical equipment, etc.

Core advantages

  • Material characteristics:The titanium content is ≥ 99.5%, and the impurity content is strictly controlled (Fe ≤ 0.20%, O ≤ 0.18%, N ≤ 0.03%), in accordance with ASTM B348 and GB/T 3623 standards. The surface of the welding wire is pickled or polished to remove the oxide film and ensure that there is no impurity contamination during the welding process.
  • Welding performance:Tensile strength ≥ 270MPa, elongation ≥ 27%, and welding joint strength can reach over 90% of the base metal. Support low current rapid welding (such as TIG welding current 50-80A), reduce heat input, and lower deformation risk.
  • Process adaptability:The diameter of the welding wire is between 0.8mm and 6.0mm, and can be customized with coiled or straight wires. During welding, argon gas with a purity of ≥ 99.99% should be used for protection, and both the front and back should be covered with a protective shield to ensure that the silver white of the weld is not oxidized. Good compatibility with GR1/GR2 titanium plates and TA1/TA2 pure titanium materials, suitable for corrosion-resistant scenarios such as seawater desalination equipment and chemical containers.

  • Chemical equipment: Welding of titanium reaction vessels and heat exchangers, with an annual corrosion rate of less than 0.02mm in highly corrosive environments such as hydrochloric acid and nitric acid.
  • Ocean engineering: Welding of pressure resistant shells for seawater desalination devices and deep-sea detectors to maintain stability in a 5000 meter deep sea environment.
  • Food processing: Welding of dairy production line pipelines in compliance with FDA food contact standards.

  • Adopting vacuum melting+cold drawing process, the entire process passes ultrasonic testing and third-party mechanical performance testing.
