Types of Titanium Pipe
Seamless titanium pipe
Seamless titanium pipe are manufactured through a process that involves extruding or piercing solid titanium billets to create seamless cylinders. This method ensures uniformity and integrity throughout the pipe, making it ideal for high-pressure applications such as hydraulic systems, aircraft components, and heat exchangers.
Welded titanium pipe
Welded titanium pipe are fabricated by joining together titanium sheets or strips through various welding techniques, including tig (tungsten inert gas) welding and laser welding. While not as strong as seamless pipe, welded pipe are more cost-effective and suitable for applications where high precision and structural integrity are not critical, such as exhaust systems and architectural structures.


Drawn over mandrel (DOM) titanium pipe
DOM titanium pipe are created by drawing a seamless titanium pipe through a mandrel to achieve the desired dimensions and surface finish. This process enhances the pipe mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy, making them suitable for precision applications in the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries.

Advantages Of Titanium Pipe
High strength: Titanium alloys have high strength, and their specific strength (ratio of strength to density) is much higher than many traditional metal materials, such as steel and aluminum alloys. This means that at the same weight, titanium alloys can withstand greater loads and can be used to manufacture weight-sensitive but high-strength parts, such as engine blades and landing gear in the aerospace field.
Low density: Its density is about 4.5g/cm³, which is between aluminum (2.7g/cm³) and iron (7.86g/cm³), and is only about 60% of steel. High temperature resistance: Titanium alloys have a high melting point and can maintain good mechanical properties at higher temperatures. Good low-temperature performance: Unlike many metal materials that become brittle at low temperatures, titanium alloys can still maintain good toughness and strength in low-temperature environments. Therefore, it can be used to manufacture low-temperature storage containers, liquefied natural gas transportation equipment, etc., to ensure the safety and reliability of equipment under extremely cold conditions.
Biocompatibility: Titanium alloys have good biocompatibility with human tissues and will not cause immune and allergic reactions in the human body. At the same time, it also has appropriate strength and elastic modulus, which is closer to human bones.
