Types of Industrial Pure Titanium Wire
Grade 1 titanium
As the softest grade of pure titanium, Grade 1 is highly ductile, making it ideal for buildings and surgical equipment.
Grade 2 titanium
This grade is extremely malleable and is frequently used in the desalination process and to produce automotive parts.

Grade 3 titanium
Because this type of commercially pure titanium is stronger than Grades 1 and 2, it’s often used in aerospace and marine applications. It has an excellent strength to weight ratio and corrosion resistance, but is less malleable than some other grades.
Grade 4 titanium
This grade boasts high corrosion resistance but lower ductility than the other grades. The medical and aerospace industries use this grade for everything from airframe components to surgical hardware.
Properties of Industrial Pure Titanium Wire
Strength-to-weight ratio
Industrial pure titanium possesses an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. So, it is one of the strongest and yet lightest metals available.
01
Strength and density
It has inherent strength and low density. These features make it ideal for applications demanding robustness without adding excessive weight.
02
Corrosion resistance
Its corrosion resistance stands as another remarkable attribute. So, it can work even in aggressive environments, such as those containing saltwater or chemicals. This resistance to corrosion is due to the formation of a protective oxide layer on its surface.
03
Biocompatibility
This pure metal is highly compatible with the human body. This property is pivotal in orthopedic implants, dental fixtures, and surgical instruments. With this ability, titanium can integrate seamlessly with living tissues, and there will be less risk of adverse reactions.
04
Resistance to extreme temperatures
Industrial pure titanium maintains its structural integrity and mechanical properties in both high and low-temperature environments. It has become an asset in aerospace engineering.
05
Application of Industrial Pure Titanium Wire
Medical and dental
Orthopedic implants: Titanium wire is used in orthopedic implants, such as bone screws and plates, due to its biocompatibility and strength.
Dental implants: It is also used in dental implants and braces for similar reasons.
Surgical instruments: The wire is used to manufacture various surgical instruments that require high precision and durability.
Aerospace and aviation
Aircraft components: Titanium wire is used in the production of aircraft components, such as springs and fasteners, due to its lightweight and high-strength properties.
Spacecraft: It is also used in spacecraft construction where weight reduction is crucial without compromising strength.
Chemical and marine industries
Corrosion-resistant equipment: Titanium wire is employed in the chemical and marine industries for making components that need to withstand corrosive environments, such as pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.
Offshore structures: Used in the construction of offshore oil and gas rigs due to its resistance to seawater corrosion.
Industrial
Additive manufacturing (3d printing): Titanium wire is used as a feedstock in 3d printing technologies, particularly for manufacturing complex and lightweight components.
Welding: It is used as filler material in welding processes involving titanium and titanium alloys.
Jewelry and art
Jewelry: Due to its attractive metallic appearance and hypoallergenic properties, titanium wire for jewelry making is popular in the industry for crafting rings, necklaces, and other accessories.
Sculptures: Artists use titanium wire for creating sculptures and other decorative items, benefiting from its strength and flexibility.
Sports equipment
Bicycles: Titanium wire is used in high-end bicycle frames and components, offering a balance of strength and light weight.
Golf clubs: It is also used in the production of golf club heads and shafts for improved performance.
