GR12 titanium rod for ships(Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni)
 

This product is made of near alpha titanium alloy GR12 (corresponding to China TA10), designed specifically for high strength and crevice corrosion resistance requirements. It has excellent comprehensive mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for fields such as chemical engineering, marine engineering, heat exchange equipment, and high-end equipment manufacturing.

Core advantages

  • Outstanding corrosion resistance: It exhibits excellent performance in hot salt water, chlorine containing media, and weak acid-base environments, especially with significantly better resistance to crevice corrosion than industrial pure titanium. For example, in a 3.5% NaCl solution, the annual corrosion rate is ≤ 0.001mm, and the surface dense oxide film (TiO ₂) can resist biofouling and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Mechanical performance balance: annealed tensile strength ≥ 480MPa, yield strength ≥ 345MPa, elongation ≥ 18%, maintaining good plasticity while meeting lightweight requirements, capable of withstanding mechanical stress under complex working conditions.
  • Strong process adaptability: Supports hot forging, hot rolling, cold drawing and other forming methods. After annealing at 650 ℃, the performance is stable, and the surface is polished/polished (Ra ≤ 3.2 μ m). It can be customized with specifications of φ 6-200mm × ≤ 3000mm.
