GR2titanium plates for ships (industrial pure titanium TA2)
 

This product is made of high-purity alpha titanium alloy GR2 (corresponding to China TA2) material, designed specifically for harsh environments in ships and marine engineering. It has excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight, and anti biological adhesion properties, and is suitable for key components such as ship structures, seawater pipelines, condensers, and deep-sea equipment.

Core advantages

  • Excellent corrosion resistance:Excellent performance in seawater, salt spray, and chlorine containing media, with an annual corrosion rate of less than 0.001mm. The surface dense oxide film (TiO ₂) can resist chloride ion corrosion and marine biological fouling, reducing the frequency of bottom cleaning and lowering maintenance costs by more than 50%.
  • Lightweight and high-strength balance:The density is only 4.51g/cm ³ (about 57% of steel), the tensile strength is ≥ 343MPa, the yield strength is ≥ 275MPa, and the elongation is ≥ 25%. It can reduce the weight of the ship by 15% -30%, improve the speed and fuel efficiency, and meet the structural strength requirements of the ship.
  • Outstanding low-temperature toughness:-Impact toughness>50J/cm ² at 196 ℃, suitable for extreme low temperature environments such as LNG transport ship storage tanks and polar icebreakers.

Typical applications

  • Hull structure: The outer shell and deck have stable corrosion resistance in the high-pressure environment of 5000 meters deep sea. For example, the Russian "North Wind God" class nuclear submarine uses titanium alloy welded hull.
  • Power system: Propulsion shaft and seawater pipeline. The Chinese "Xuelong 2" polar research vessel uses Ti-631 titanium alloy shaft system, which is resistant to low temperature -50 ℃ and has a 3-fold increase in anti cavitation corrosion life.
  • Auxiliary equipment: condenser tube bundle, ballast tank liner, capable of withstanding high pressure up to 5000 meters deep in seawater desalination equipment.
